About the project
The Kautilya Fellows Programme (KFP) 2020 was a prestigious 10-day workshop focused on India's foreign policy and public policy issues. Organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and India Foundation, the event was designed to provide young professionals from India and abroad with a deeper understanding of India’s democratic institutions. The program combined academic insights with experiential learning, including a memorable field visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Design Process
Designing the visual identity for an event of this scale was both an exciting challenge and a significant responsibility. With over 100 delegates from 31 countries in attendance, ensuring the design met both creative expectations and government protocols was crucial.
Visual Identity Concept
The visual identity played a pivotal role in establishing the tone and consistency of the event. We choseline illustrations inspired by Indian cultural elementsto create a contemporary yet meaningful design language. This approach not only reflected India's rich heritage but also offered a visually cohesive experience for attendees.

Design Execution
To maintain a consistent theme throughout the event, we extended the visual language across multiple touchpoints, including
- Stage Graphics Large-scale backdrops and banners designed with intricate line illustrations provided a seamless, immersive experience for attendees.
- Badges & ID Cards Custom-designed identity cards featuring the same visual elements ensured uniformity in participant identification.
- Participants' Booklet & Study Material Detailed guides and learning materials were thoughtfully designed to blend informative content with clean layouts inspired by the visual theme.
- Event Merchandise Bags, folders, and certificates were all designed to reflect the event's brand identity.
- Social Media The digital presence followed the same design language, ensuring a smooth transition from print to digital platforms.

The consistent design language not only enhanced the event's professional appearance but also created a memorable experience for participants. The blend of Indian cultural elements with modern design principles ensured that KFP 2020 stood out as an impactful and well-organized event.
